60 minute, donation based class introducing the basics of meditation - what it is and how to use it. We will debunk myths and misconceptions around the practice and the class will end with a short, guided meditation.
What I have to offer was given to me through my own journey. Like many others, I have lived most of my life chronically stressed and anxious, at the mercy of my external environment and internal pain. It wasn’t until this began to affect my physical health that I was forced to pay deeper attention and thus my healing journey began. I got my degree in Health Science and Health Coaching, became a certified Holistic Health Coach and started a practice largely based around nutrition and exercise. A couple years into my practice I realized the body can only heal to the extent that the mind and spirit are healthy (I hate leaving out the nuance in this statement). At the same time, I recognized that my own mind and spirit were anything but. I decided to table my health coaching business and seek true, holistic healing. My journey, though challenging and messy, led me to wholeness, freedom, peace and profound joy. During those years I discovered meditation and breathwork. Realizing how simple yet powerful these tools could be, I decided THIS was what I wanted to share with my clients, so I got trained and certified in both. Although the healing journey is never ending, I believe we are capable of experiencing love, peace, freedom and happiness in the here and now. In the past couple years we have all been faced with more uncertainty than ever. My desire is to help people reconnect to their own souls by living in the present, achieving true wholeness and peace no matter their circumstances.
